Job Title: Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias)

Shift Pattern: 4 Days / 4 Off / 4 Nights / 4 Off

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias) to join our clients team in a manufacturing/chemical environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer to play a key role in maintaining and improving our production processes while working on a 4 on, 4 off rotating shift pattern (days and nights).

Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance on production machinery and plant equipment.
Diagnose faults and repair mechanical components, including pumps, motors, conveyors, and hydraulics/pneumatics.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and efficiency.
Work closely with other engineers and production teams to minimize downtime.
Ensure all work is completed in line with health, safety, and quality standards.Requirements

Time-served or qualified in a relevant mechanical engineering discipline (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent).
Experience in a manufacturing or chemical environment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment.
Basic electrical knowledge is desirable but not essential.
Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.What's on Offer
