Meridian is looking to hire a Warehouse Operative for an ongoing assignment. You'll be joining a small team of logistics workers in a packing and distribution area, working in a clean factory environment for a manufacturing firm in Cheltenham.Hours are on a 2 weekly rotation:Week 1 : 07.45 – 16.45 Monday to Thursday, 07.45 - 12:30 FridayWeek 2: 09.15 - 17:30 Monday to Friday Benefits: Shift Allowance, 27 paid days holiday, Bank Holidays off, Staff canteen, Free Parking, Free tea & Coffee, Training Opportunities and potential to go Temp to PermWarehouse Operative duties will include :

• Packing items for dispatch;
• Picking items to order and updating changes to stock levels (using electronic hand held terminal/scanner);
• Completing related paperwork;
• Checking containers for correct contents and reporting errors;
• Support other warehouse operatives;

Skills/experience required for Warehouse Operative:

• Please note a 5 year referencing period and DBS check is essential for this role.
• Previous experience in a warehouse role
• A strong level of literacy and numeracy (counting out items, checking part numbers, completing some basic paperwork);
• Forklift licence / experience would be advantageous
• Powered pallet truck, lifting equipment would be advantageous but are not essential for this role
