Gemini People is partnering with an established and forward-thinking forklift company, the authorised Cesab dealer for Leicestershire, Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire, to find an experienced Field Service Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and contribute to achieving ambitious growth plans in the industry.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and repairing both client and company equipment on-site as well as in the workshop. Your responsibilities will be diverse, including servicing, preventative maintenance, diagnosis, and repair work, as well as performing Thorough Examination Inspections.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing servicing, preventative maintenance, and repairs on both company-owned and customer forklift trucks, with an emphasis on minimizing unscheduled repairs.
  • Providing clear and detailed updates to customers regarding equipment, service, repair, or inspection status, and offering guidance on actions to maintain equipment.
  • Collaborating with the parts department to ensure timely and appropriate repairs.
  • Completing documentation in line with company standards.
  • Complying with Health & Safety regulations at all times.
  • Maintaining a high level of computer literacy for reporting and administrative tasks.

As an experienced Forklift Truck Service Engineer, you will have gained knowledge and hands-on experience in a similar role. The following skills and qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Strong mechanical and electrical experience, including diagnostic and repair skills.
  • Familiarity with hydraulics and electrical systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to liaise effectively with customers at all levels.
  • A flexible, proactive, and solution-oriented attitude to work.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • A full, clean driving licence.
  • A comprehensive tool kit.
