We have a fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join an up and coming contractor based in Southampton. The business has been established for 15 years and undertakes projects across the commercial, education, retail and heritage sectors.

About the role of Quantity Surveyor:

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable main contractor based in Southampton. This role would involve managing a couple of projects (valued up to £1mil) and have involvement in the tender process. You will be at the forefront of building and maintaining client relationships and will be involved in mentoring junior members of the team.

Key Responsibilities of this Quantity Surveyor role:

Day-to-day duties including cost planning, procurement, dealing with variations etc
Mentor junior members of staff
Be involved in the sustained growth plans of the business
Tender new work and explore new opportunities

Requirements for this Quantity Surveyor position:

HNC / Construction related degree
Have held a Quantity Surveyor position in a similar size contractor
Be ambitious enough to help drive the business forward with their growth plans
