Our client is a well established ad thriving construction company based in the Maldon area. They specialise in the maintenance and repair of properties and are currently searching for an experienced administrator who has construction, civil engineering or maintenance experience. The ideal candidate would be someone who wishes to join a thriving organisation. The role offers a strong career progression for ambitious individuals. The role will be predominantly office based.

ROLE:

* Managing incoming calls and directing them to the necessary departments / individual.

* Providing a courteous and efficient point of contact for enquiries, redirecting or escalating as necessary.

* Manage the senior managers diary and paperwork

* Efficiently process a variety of administrative requests, from data entry to file management, supporting departmental needs.

* Organise and maintain office spaces and systems, including document management and archiving, ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.

* Prepare and distribute minutes of meetings and other relevant communications.

* Schedule and coordinate appointments, meetings, and room bookings.

* Issue of labour schedules on a daily and weekly basis

* Preparation of credit reports and assisting with credit control

* Assist in the preparation and editing of reports, presentations, and other documents.

* Handle mail and email correspondence, ensuring timely and accurate distribution and response.

* Monitor office supplies and place orders when necessary.

CANDIDATE:

* Previous experience within a construction, civil engineering, maintenance or engineering background is highly desired.

* Strong background within company administration essential.

* Steady work history is desired.

* Computer literacy with experience of Word and Excel is essential.

* Experience of data entry and document control is desired.

* An understanding of Health and Safety is desired.

* Must have own transport as the office is difficult to access on public transport.

* Willing to work in the office from Monday to Friday.

* Good communication and interpersonal skills.

* Very effective planning and organisational skills
