Physical Education Teacher - Alternative Provision School - St Albans Hertfordshire - Immediate Start - Open to Qualified and Non-Qualified Teachers - Long-Term with Potential for a Permanent Role - £120 to £230 per day

An exciting opportunity has become available for a passionate and skilled PE Teacher at an alternative provision school in St Albans, Hertfordshire.

This school is dedicated to creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for students with behavioural challenges. They are seeking a committed and experienced PE Teacher or Sports Coach to join their dynamic team. With small class sizes ranging from 2 to 10 students, this role offers the chance to provide a more tailored and engaging learning experience.

This long-term position starts immediately, with the potential to transition into a permanent role. The salary is competitive, with non-QTS teachers earning £120 per day and QTS holders receiving £150 per day, depending on experience and qualifications. The successful candidate will benefit from the support of an experienced Sports Coach, who has been with the school for a year and is now stepping into a senior leadership role while remaining available for guidance.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

✔ Strong background in Physical Education, ideally with coaching certifications
✔ Confident and capable of managing challenging behaviour
✔ Comfortable with the work-life balance of an AP school - no marking or planning to take home
✔ Passion for continuous professional growth and learning
