Leading online/mail order watch/jewellery company based in Potters Bar, Herts are recruiting for an experienced Watch/Jewellery Buyer to undertake a 1 year contract (possibly longer) starting November 2024!

Supported by a strong administrative team and working alongside a very proactive MD, you will be acting as main buyer maintaining and developing a mixed range of products resonating with our target audience to drive customer interest and sales. This involves selecting and approving products for our monthly catalogue, working closely with our in house photographers approving images for catalogue/press and helping to create copy alongside products.

You will also be maintaining and developing close relationships with key suppliers to expand offerings and improve margins whilst developing exclusive and proprietary pieces that differentiate and enhance our brand. This will require staying informed on industry developments, market trends and competitor activities relating to our business area allowing you to make informed buying decisions. Some international buying trips involved to various and relevant trade shows/exhibitions involved.

You should demonstrate strong buying experience within the watch/jewellery market or similar, have a keen eye for trends as well as excellent communication skills dealing with a range of internal/external stakeholders.
