A well-established Nottingham-based MEP consultancy is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing team.

With nearly 50 years of industry experience, this company offers long-standing client relationships and a reliable stream of high-value projects (up to £35m) across leisure, custodial, and healthcare sectors. The firm champions a collaborative, client-facing approach, ensuring engineers are involved from initial survey through to handover - providing genuine end-to-end project ownership.

What You'll Be Doing:

Designing and developing electrical systems for a wide range of building services projects

Preparing calculations, specifications, and tender documentation

Coordinating with mechanical and sustainability engineers to develop low-energy solutions

Attending site and design team meetings, liaising with clients and contractors

Overseeing projects through RIBA stages 2-5

Supporting junior staff and promoting best practices

What You'll Need:

~4+ years' experience in electrical building services design

Background in consultancy or contractor environment

Strong knowledge of current electrical standards and codes

Experience using design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software

Confident communicator with a proactive and hands-on attitude
