Are you passionate about providing individual support to students who need extra help to thrive in the classroom? We are looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work closely with a student in a Manchester school, helping them to overcome challenges and reach their full potential.

About the Role:

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting a child who requires additional assistance, whether due to special educational needs (SEND), behavioural challenges, or learning difficulties. Your key responsibilities will include:

Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a student, ensuring their academic and emotional needs are met.

*

Adapting learning materials and activities to suit their individual learning style.

*

Helping to manage behaviour and implement positive reinforcement strategies.

*

Encouraging social interaction and confidence-building.

*

Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals to support the student's progress.

*

Assisting with personal care tasks if required.

*

Creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

What We're Looking For:

We are looking for a patient, caring, and adaptable individual who:

*

Has previous experience supporting children on a 1:1 basis (in a school or similar setting).

*

Is passionate about helping students overcome barriers to learning.

*

Has excellent communication and behaviour management skills.

*

Can build a strong and trusting relationship with the student.

*

Holds a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Childcare, Health & Social Care) - desirable but not essential.

*

Has experience working with SEND or SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs - desirable.

*

Possesses a valid DBS check or is willing to obtain one.
