Our client is an industry leader with over 40 years of contracting experience in contaminated land remediation, earthworks and infrastructure works across the UK. across a variety of market sectors including commercial, housing, defence and nuclear,

They truly add value by getting involved at an early stage and working with their clients to develop the optimum solution, getting involved as early as site appraisal stage and work closely through the design and land remediation process in an open and collaborative manner.

They now require an Engineering Surveyor with Earthworks and LSS Knowledge based in Sheffield

An Engineering Surveyor with Earthworks and Land Surveying Software (LSS) Knowledge is responsible for collecting and analysing data required for the planning, design, and construction of civil engineering projects, with a particular focus on earthworks. This role involves using various tools and technologies to measure land features and provide precise data for projects, ensuring that construction works are carried out accurately and efficiently. This role also involves the mentoring of inexperienced engineers, helping them develop a wide skills base.

Qualifications:

Experience:

* Minimum 5 -10 years of experience in surveying or a related field.

* Experience with civil engineering projects, particularly earthworks, is preferred.

* Proficiency in using LSS software and AutoCAD

Skills:

* Proficiency in using surveying instruments and equipment (e.g., GPS, total stations).

* Strong knowledge of LSS software for survey data processing and analysis.

* Strong knowledge of AutoCAD software.

* GVC drone qualification.

* Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.

* Knowledge of earthworks processes, including excavation, grading, and soil stabilization...

* Physical stamina and the ability to work in various outdoor conditions.

£38-50k per annum salary subject to experience

25 day holidays + bank holidays which rises to a maximum of 28 following so many years service.
