Central is currently recruiting for a Project Worker, to work in the Westminster area. This supported accommodation provides support to vulnerable adults with a range of mental health support needs.

The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working across Monday - Sunday on a rota basis, covering mid (10AM - 4:30PM) and long (8AM - 8:30PM) shifts. Temporary cover is required for approximately 2-3 months. The pay rate for this role is £14.49 per hour, with £ 1.75 holiday pay, totalling £16.24 per hour.

In this position, you will be required to:

* Hold a caseload of 2-3 key clients and conduct regular key working sessions resulting in agreed support and safety plans.

* Support residents with daily living tasks including cleaning, cooking, shopping, and managing finances.

* Encourage and assist residents in accessing educational, employment, leisure, and social activities, fostering personal development.

* Ensure residents are abiding by the terms of their housing license and maintaining a safe living environment

* Build trust and rapport with residents, particularly those who may be resistant or hesitant, using a person-centred approach to engage them in the planning process.

* Work closely with other professionals, incorporating their input into safety and support plans to provide a holistic approach to resident care.

* Collaborate with professionals like social workers, healthcare workers, and mental health specialists to ensure comprehensive care

* Act as an advocate for residents, ensuring their needs are communicated and respected

* Educate and guide residents in understanding and following relevant policies and procedures to promote a safe and effective living environment

Please note: this role involves lone working

To apply for this role, you must have;

* Experience of working with vulnerable adults including mental health in a supported housing environment

* A strong understanding of trauma-informed and person-centred approaches

* The ability to quickly build trust and rapport with residents who may be ambivalent or resistant

* Experience of in managing a caseload or key clients, conducting assessments, and analysing data to identify resident needs

* The ability to create collaborative support plans, build rapport, and foster collaboration with residents

* Strong communication and coordination skills to work with professionals from various disciplines

* Knowledge of health and safety regulations and protocols

* Proficient in maintaining accurate records and preparing reports while adhering to confidentiality protocols

* Understanding and adherence to relevant policies and procedures in supported accommodation services

* Flexibility, resilience, and readiness to adapt to a dynamic environment

Further requirements:

In order to register with Central Recruitment Services for temporary agency work, candidates must meet the following criteria:

* Current valid right to work in the UK

* Minimum 12 months' of paid experience in a front line social care role within the last 3 years* (unless recruitment criteria states otherwise)

* A fully enhanced DBS registered on the DBS update service or willingness to apply for one through Central (at a cost of £60)

* Employment or education history to cover the last 5 years which can be verified through the referencing process
