Team Lead - PHP & JavaScript

?? Location: Stretford, Trafford Park (Hybrid)?? Salary: £60,000 - £70,000

I'm recruiting for a Team Lead to join the Portal team of a well-established company. In this role, you'll lead a small team of PHP and JavaScript/TypeScript engineers, working on customer and staff portals as well as the APIs that power them.

?? Tech Stack:

• Frontend: Angular (with plans to migrate to Vue.js)
• Backend: PHP & Laravel
• Cloud: AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, RDS)
• Tools & Processes: Serverless Framework, CloudFormation, Terraform, CI/CD, Git, unit testing

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative environment
• Oversee development projects, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to best practices
• Work closely with other teams to align technical solutions with business needs
• Plan and schedule maintenance, manage technical debt, and improve system performance
• Take responsibility for service uptime, security patching, and operational management (support available from IT & Operations)
• Join the out-of-hours on-call team (additional compensation provided) after a settling-in period

• Strong leadership and mentoring skills
• Experience in JavaScript/TypeScript (Angular or Vue.js) and PHP (Laravel)
• Hands-on experience with AWS and serverless infrastructure
• A problem-solver with excellent project management abilities
