Design Manager

Location: Manchester

Salary: £55,000 to £65,000

An opportunity has opened for a Design Manager to join a manufacturing and construction company based in Manchester. The ideal candidate will have excellent experience working as a Design Engineer using AutoCAD or similar and would have previous leading or management experience.

What they're looking for:

* Experience as a Senior Design Engineer, Design Manager or similar

* Experience in the Mechanical and Construction sectors

* Knowledge of AutoCAD or other CAD packages

* Hydraulics or pneumatics experience

* CSCS card

* Excellent managerial skills

* Experience of processes, documentation and liaising with customers

Design Manager Responsibilities:

* Managing the Design process from start to finish

* Making and advising any changes to engineering drawings

* Some AutoCAD work of your own

* Liaising with customers, suppliers and contractors

* Providing insight on process and driving continuous improvement

* Keeping documentation up to date and to the right standards

* Assisting with site surveys
