CMA Recruitment Group is currently partnering with a growing SME based in Poole, Dorset, who are looking to hire a Junior Financial Controller on a permanent basis. Joining a driven team and working closely with the Operations Director, the successful candidate will play an important role in helping to drive UK revenue at a site level. Progression is on offer, either into the local senior management team or to take on a wider group reporting remit.

What will the Junior Financial Controller role involve?

• Responsible for accurate financial reporting & monthly management accounts, including KPIs and commentary;
• Develop strong business processes & controls to ensure efficient running of the finance function;
• Financial analysis projects, focussing on cost, pricing, profitability and areas of improvement;
• Regular business partnering with senior stakeholders to provide visibility of business performance;
• Develop financial models to aide strategic business initiatives & new investment ideas;
• Additional tasks to support business growth.

Suitable Candidate for the Junior Financial Controller vacancy:

• The ideal candidate will be ACCA / CIMA qualified or finalist level;
• Previous experience carrying out a similar remit of work is required. Candidates looking for a slight step up in seniority are also encouraged to apply;
• Business partnering experience is required as you’ll have significant involvement in strategic planning;
• Knowledge of Power BI is a bonus but not essential;
• Driven and keen to further their finance career.
