Electronic Hardware Team Leader

Location: Camberley
Salary: Circa £60k to £65k

We are a market-leading engineering company in the defence industry, seeking an exceptional Electronic Hardware Team Leader to join our team in the Camberley area. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer with strong leadership capabilities to make a significant impact within our organisation.

As the Electronic Hardware Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and managing a team of engineers while also engaging in senior-level electronic engineering activities. The balance of your role will be approximately 30% team leading and 70% engineering tasks, with the possibility of adjusting to a maximum of 50% for each.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

* Oversee electronic engineering activities, ensuring quality and timely delivery of projects.

* Engage in hands-on engineering tasks, applying your expertise in digital electronics and competence in analogue electronics.

* Ensure design principles meet EN60945 and other relevant standards.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and improve processes within the manufacturing facility.

* Support team development through training and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications:

* Proven experience in a manufacturing facility, with a strong background in electronic engineering.

* Expertise in digital electronics and competence in analogue electronics.

* Understanding of design principles to meet EN60945 and other relevant standards.

* Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

* Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to quality.
