Role Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant, learning support assistant, SEN TA to support a mainstream primary school across Sutton. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the development and education of children from early years to KS2, working closely with the class teacher and other staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging and developmentally appropriate activities.
• Support the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children.
• Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all children.
• Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other staff to enhance the learning experience.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and safeguarding procedures.
• Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom organization.

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification (Drama, Dance, Psychology, English, Sports science or equivalent).
• Previous experience in a school setting or at after school clubs or youth clubs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, caring, and enthusiastic attitude.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
