Data Architect – London – Insurance – London MarketAn experienced Data Architect is required by a high profile London Markets insurance company for a priority project.It is essential that you have strong experience and understanding of the London Specialty Market for Insurance and Reinsurance. You must have a good awareness of the data issues around cat modelling and technical pricing.The role Working with the existing architecture team and report into the Head of Architecture, you will work alongside data engineers and business analysts to:

• Create solution designs
• Investigate business opportunities and problems
• Create database designs
• Get involved with data strategy and data principles
• Support data projects, particularly around cat modelling and technical pricing
• Explore data-led solutions involving new technologies

Experience

• Cloud based architecture – the environment is entirely cloud-based (AWS)
• Creating data integration and solution architectures
• Service-oriented microservices
• Integration patterns: API, event-driven, batch / ETL
• Excellent data modelling including RDB and non-RDB design and data warehouse design
• Domain driven design
• Knowledge of:
  • Relational database (eg Snowflake, Postgres, Oracle)
  • Non-relational (eg JSON, Parquet, Neo4J)
• Data modelling tools such as SparxEA, ER Studio, ERWin
