About the Opportunity

We are partnering with multiple well-established accountancy practices that are currently recruiting for Semi-Senior Accountants. These firms offer excellent career development opportunities, with a focus on accounts preparation, audit support, and payroll oversight.

Whether you’re looking for hands-on exposure, career mentorship, or a strategic review-focused role, we have opportunities that align with your career goals.

The Role

As a Semi-Senior Accountant, you will take on a dynamic role involving accounts preparation, audit work, and oversight of outsourced payroll services. The position offers a mix of technical accounting, compliance, and client-facing responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Preparation: Preparing and reviewing year-end accounts for a diverse client base.
  • Audit Support: Assisting in audits, reviewing outsourced audit work, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Payroll Oversight: Managing relationships with outsourced payroll providers and ensuring accurate payroll processing.
  • Client Interaction: Serving as a key contact for clients, addressing queries, and providing valuable financial insights.
  • Review & Quality Control: Overseeing outsourced accounts and audit work to maintain high standards.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

  • Wide-Ranging Experience: Gain exposure across accounts, audit, and advisory, rather than being restricted to one area.
  • Hands-On Mentorship: Work closely with experienced partners who provide direct career mentorship and professional guidance.
  • Strategic & Review-Focused Role: Since many firms outsource audit and accounts processing, your role will focus on review, quality assurance, and client advisory rather than routine processing.
  • Supportive & Collaborative Teams: Join a friendly and professional team where your contributions are recognised, and your growth is prioritised.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Part-qualified or fully qualified ACCA/ACA (or equivalent).
  • Experience in accounts preparation and audit work (practice experience preferred).
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, with the ability to oversee outsourced providers.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a growing firm.
