Salary: £25,000-£27,000 per annum dependent on experience.

Here at The Recruitment Co, we are currently recruiting a Quality Inspector to work for a company based in Newport on a full time, permanent contract.
General Purpose of Role:
The Quality Inspector will ensure that materials, components and products meet the specifications set by the business and our customers.
The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, knowledge of
quality control, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Main Job Roles:
- Conduct regular quality inspections and tests upon request on raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Use and maintain precision measuring instruments (e.g., callipers, micrometres, gauges)
- Identify deviations, raise and process non-conformance reports and complaints including investigating and processing corrective and improvement actions.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate records: Produce and maintain accurate and up-to-date records, such as inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance reports.
- Collect data to identify trends or patterns in product quality.
- Ensure all products meet company and industry quality standards.
- Liaise with other departments when needed.
- Follow all safety and environment guidelines and maintain a clean, organised work environment
- Product preservation (apply coatings, and other preservation measures)
- Apply product identification and applicable plates, such as CE Mark, etc.
- Processing quality documentation.

Required Experience
- Proficiency with measurement tools (callipers, micrometres, gauges, etc.) and basic mathematical calculations.
- Computer skills for data entry and reporting (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects and deviations from specifications
- Good understanding of quality control methods, principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Computer skills for data entry and reporting (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, etc.).
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), or similar quality certifications.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and other technical specifications for verifying product compliance.
Desirable Experience
- Internal Auditor ISO 9001.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001.
- Knowledge of EN 10204:2004 Material certification.
- Knowledge of the concepts of valve assembly and testing.
