We are recruiting for a leading automotive service provider in Rutland who pride themselves on customer satisfaction and retention. They deliver high-quality repairs and advice on all auto maintenance and due to an increase in workload, we are now supporting them in recruiting for a dedicated Automotive Mechanic on a permanent basis.

Job Description:

As an Automotive Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicle makes and models. You will work with a team of professionals dedicated to ensuring customer satisfaction and vehicle safety.

Key Responsibilities:


•              Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles.


•              Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using diagnostic tools.


•              Working with HEV vehicle.


•              Carrying out MOTs if qualified to do so.


•              Conduct inspections and test drives to ensure vehicles are operating properly.


•              Replace or repair worn parts such as brake pads, wheel bearings, and sensors.


•              Maintain accurate records of all work performed and parts used.


•              Communicate effectively with service manager about vehicle issues and necessary repairs.


•              Ensure a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety and environmental regulations.

Requirements:


•              High school education.


•              Certification from a vocational school or completion of an apprenticeship is preferred.


•              Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic (mandatory)


•              Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles. (mandatory)


•              Familiarity with vehicle diagnostic systems and methods.


•              Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment.


•              Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


•              Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (mandatory)


•              MOT licence (preferred)
