A welcoming educational provision in Slough, focused on supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs, is looking for an Emotional and Behavioral Support Assistant to join their team full-time. This role offers the chance to work closely with students facing various challenges, including attachment difficulties and trauma, and help them develop essential skills for personal and academic success.

Key Responsibilities as an Emotional and Behavioral Support Assistant:

  • Equip students with skills in social interaction and emotional regulation, preparing them for life beyond school.
  • Be a positive role model, setting high expectations to inspire confidence and growth in students.
  • Support students in overcoming barriers to learning, encouraging them to stay engaged and motivated in the classroom.
  • Assist students in developing interpersonal skills, emotional resilience, and positive peer relationships.

The ideal candidate will be empathetic, resilient, and driven to make a difference in the lives of young people. This position is particularly suited for graduates in Psychology, Criminology, or Counseling, as it provides invaluable experience in working with young people with mental health challenges-ideal preparation for future training as a Therapist or Psychologist.
