We are working alongside a secondary school based in Essex who are seeking a dynamic and passionate Religious Education (RE) teacher to join their team starting from December 2024. The role is a full-time, fixed-term position for the academic year, ending in July 2025. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons in RE to students across [KS3/KS4/KS5] and will play a key part in supporting students' academic and personal development.

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging RE lessons to students of varying abilities, ensuring that all students make progress.
Develop and implement a curriculum that encourages critical thinking, reflection, and understanding of world religions and ethical issues.
Mark and assess student work, providing constructive feedback to help students improve and meet their potential.
Maintain high standards of classroom behavior, creating a positive and respectful learning environment.
Participate in departmental meetings, contributing to curriculum development, resources, and teaching strategies.
Attend parent-teacher meetings and school events as required.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across the school to ensure the best outcomes for all students.Requirements:

Must be a qualified teacher.
A right to work in the UK is essential for this role.
Proven experience of teaching RE at [KS3/KS4/KS5] level.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students with a variety of learning styles.
Passionate about fostering an inclusive, thoughtful, and respectful approach to the study of religion and ethics.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the wider school community.
