Hexagon Group is delighted to be working with a prestigious real estate company that boasts an impressive portfolio of retail destinations and mixed-use estates under its management. Our client has approached us to help them secure a Senior Operations Manager for a large retail destination in South Yorkshire, which prioritises operational excellence, seamless day-to-day management, and a safe, well-maintained environment for occupiers and visitors alike, while keeping the local community at the heart of its operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the operational management of the retail destination, ensuring high standards of security, maintenance, and cleanliness.
Oversee contracted service providers and drive performance in line with SLAs and KPIs.
Manage health & safety compliance, risk assessments, and emergency response planning.
Control service charge budgets, ensuring cost efficiencies while maintaining service quality.
Develop strong relationships with occupiers, landlords, contractors, and local authorities.
Drive sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction and energy efficiency.
Lead crisis management and business continuity planning.
Foster a high-performing team, ensuring training, development, and compliance.
Collaborate with the Marketing Team in planning and executing on-site events to enhance the visitor experienceCandidate Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in managing retail, leisure, or commercial property operations, with a strong grasp of facilities management, compliance, and financial oversight. A background in contract management, health & safety, and stakeholder engagement is essential.

It is preferential that you hold a NEBOSH and IOSH certification, along with an IWFM Certificate, although this is not essential.
