Owen Daniels has engaged with a key client and an established Automation company providing a wide range of services to the Medical Device, Life Science and Consumer Goods industry, and high-profile clients. Due to team & project growth an opportunity has arisen for a Field Service Engineer to join on a permanent basis.
 
As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and calibrating automation equipment to ensure it aligns with high standards and meets customer expectations. The ideal candidate should have experience with measuring tools, excellent mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, and a strong understanding of machine components.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the primary point of contact for addressing, diagnosing, and resolving issues, with a focus on automation systems.
Conduct preventative maintenance on customer systems to maintain peak performance.
Troubleshoot, upgrade, and calibrate laboratory automation instruments and robotic systems with accuracy.
Commission devices and robotic systems, performing quality checks to ensure they meet customer specifications.
Apply hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting expertise, including root cause analysis and a deep understanding of machine components.
Overseas travel is required. Key Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum of a HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Someone with hands on experience may also be considered.
At least 5 years' experience in a service or technical facing role.
Skilled in maintaining and servicing instruments or devices with a focus on electrical or mechanical systems.
Experience in operating and maintaining automation systems is an advantage.
Knowledgeable in the operation and upkeep of robotic systems, including models such as ABB, Staubli, UR, and Brooks.
Experience in the Life Sciences and/or pharmaceutical industries is highly preferred. Benefits:
