Are you an experienced Purchase Ledger professional looking for a part-time role with flexibility and the opportunity to make a real impact? We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a dedicated Purchase Ledger to join their finance team.

As a Purchase Ledger, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of purchase ledger processes, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting key finance functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Crossmatch purchase invoices with purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Accurately process and record financial transactions to ensure profitability.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
  • Handle supplier queries and discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Prepare payment runs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end responsibilities, including preparing reports and financial statements.
  • Liaise with suppliers to secure the best value and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Monitor supplier performance and support procurement decisions.

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Purchase Ledger role.
  • At least 1 year of experience using Xero accounting software.
  • 1 year of experience in credit control.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
