Our Local Authority client are currently recruiting an Occupational Therapist to support with their 'Moving With Dignity' project, for a 2 year fixed term contract.

The project will aim to reduce double handed care packages to single handed care.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive moving and handling assessments for individuals with complex needs.
• Prepare detailed risk assessment reports to inform care plans and practices.
• Deliver moving and handling training to formal and informal carers.
• Apply up-to-date knowledge of moving and handling techniques, including the use of specialised equipment.
• Provide expertise in the provision of equipment and major adaptations for individuals with physical disabilities.
• Utilise IT skills to maintain accurate records and support reporting requirements.

Requirements:

• Must have at least Diploma/BSc in Occupational Therapy or equivalent and have HCPC registration.
• Knowledge of up to date moving and handling techniques, including moving and handling equipment and a good understanding of complex physical disabilities.
