We are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Computing and Digital Lecturer to deliver teaching and learning on our BTEC L2 & L3 computing and Digital T Level courses. As a Lecturer of BTEC Computing and Digital T Level, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging lessons in computer science and digital technology to students aged 16-19. You will play a key role in designing and implementing the curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of our diverse student body and aligns with industry standards and advancements. Additionally, you will guide students through their T Level qualifications (Digital Production and Digital Support Services) providing support and guidance as they develop practical skills and knowledge relevant to the digital sector. The ideal candidate will have an good passion for computing and will help all students understand the important role that the subject plays in all of our lives whilst also developing young professionals for the future. Working closely with the Director of Learning and the rest of the team, you will have the chance to share your knowledge and skills with students to help them achieve at the highest level as well as driving continuous improvement within the College. You will act as a personal tutor giving pastoral care, promote attendance, support students to attain suitable work placements, participate in team meetings and contribute to the planning, development and review activities within your subject area. The successful candidate must have: • A teaching qualification (ideally at Level 5) • A minimum of level 3 ICT qualification (though a degree in ICT would be highly desired) • Industry Experience working within the ICT sector • Previous, relevant FE teaching experience delivering on ICT BTEC courses at levels 1-3 although T Level would be desirable • Experience in a tutoring role, providing pastoral care in the FE sector If this sounds like you and you will enjoy working in a forward thinking, friendly, fast paced, changing environment with state of the art facilities, we would love to hear from you.
