Senior Quantity Surveyor - 6 month contract - Housing 

Duties:

To have experience of working with insurance/legal claims.
They will be required to be very much methodical in their approach to recording and filing information as well as running the commercial aspect of the rectification works.
They will be required to raise orders and run the procurement schedule as to keep to the programme. I will send by separate note a little job spec.

1. Strive to optimise the profitability of the Scheme

2. Ensure that the Contracts achieve the optimum cashflow position.

3. Completion and compliance with required contract documentation including Performance Bonds, Parent Company Guarantees and Warranties.

4. Ensure that all contract documentation and sub-contract documentation is completed and forwarded to the Commercial Manager for authorisation and storage.

5. Compliance with Commercial and Company procedures through the 'Our way of working' System.

6. Prepare and manage key and large risk subcontract accounts from inception to final accounts.

7. Subcontract procurement strategy and implementation.

8. Ensure the procurement of sub-contractors is in line with the 'Our way of working' and that the packages cover the scope of the works.

9. Check and ensure compliance and issuing of timely Payment and Pay less notices to Subcontractors.

10. Control, monitor and improve commercial processes and deliver the objectives and targets for the Contract teams.

11. Preparing monthly CVR/CVC reports for presentation to the Business Unit Management.

12. Monitoring risk and opportunity schedules and managing risk from Commencement to Completion.

13. Provide input and cost and value engineering advice throughout the design life of the scheme and attend design team meetings.

14. Ensure a proactive approach to dispute avoidance.

15. Ensure company health and safety standards and procedures are followed throughout the team.
