Position: Full-Time Learning Support Assistant

About The School: The school which Zen Educate is working with is dedicated to providing a nurturing and supportive environment for boys aged 8-16 who struggle to cope with mainstream educational settings due to their social, emotional, behavioural, or communication needs. The School are committed to helping our students achieve their full potential by offering tailored support and education.

Role Overview: As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the students' educational and personal development. You will work closely with teachers to provide individualized support, helping students to engage with their learning and overcome challenges. Your resilience and ability to manage challenging behaviour are essential to creating a positive and effective learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs.

* Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).

* Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.

* Support students in developing social skills and emotional regulation.

* Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff members to provide holistic support.

* Participate in school activities and events that promote student engagement and wellbeing.

Requirements:

* Experience working in a secondary school setting.

* Experience supporting students with SEMH needs.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Resilience and the ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively.

* A compassionate and patient approach to working with students.

* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
