About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a brand-new 3-bed EBD children's home in Nottingham. Our client, a well-established care provider with a number of residential homes, is expanding into children's services and seeks a dynamic leader to shape and develop this service from the ground up.
This role offers the chance to establish a high-quality home, build a skilled team, and create a nurturing environment where children and young people can thrive, with the support of an organisation with an extensive background in social care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the home in line with Ofsted regulations
- Ensure the home meets and exceeds all requirements for a "Good" or "Outstanding" Ofsted rating
- Develop and implement policies to promote positive outcomes for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD)
- Recruit, train, and manage a skilled and motivated staff team
- Oversee safeguarding procedures to maintain a safe and supportive environment
- Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring financial viability and compliance
- Build strong relationships with local authorities, external agencies, and key stakeholders
- Drive a child-centred culture that prioritises care, education, and emotional well-being
- Ensure that the home operates in full compliance with Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards

Essential Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Registered Manager in a children's home
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, Children's Homes Regulations 2015, and Quality Standards
- Proven track record of achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted ratings
- Excellent leadership and staff management skills
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and experience in working with children with EBD
- Ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with external professionals and agencies
- Good financial and budget management skills
- Passion for improving the lives of vulnerable children and young people
