The Role

We're currently recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a reputable and growing business operating within the facilities management sector, based out of their Manchester office.

This is a full-time, permanent position suited to an experienced engineer with a strong background in electrical building services design. The successful candidate will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of electrical systems across a range of commercial and industrial projects.

Responsibilities

Produce detailed electrical designs for building services including lighting, power, and containment systems

Develop project specifications, layouts, and schematics

*

Collaborate with project managers and design professionals to meet project requirements

*

Ensure all designs are compliant with current regulations and standards

*

Provide technical support during project delivery

*

Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors when required

*

Review and improve existing design documentation and processes

Requirements

*

Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical building services design

*

Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, Amtech, Dialux/Relux, and Revit (or equivalent)

*

Strong understanding of UK electrical regulations and standards

*

HNC/HND or degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services

*

Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects

*

Strong communication skills and team-focused attitude

*

Must be based within commutable distance to Manchester and available for in-person work
