Role: ADHD Teaching Assistant

Location: South East London

Contract: Full time

Start: ASAP

Rate: £90-100

Setting: Primary School

We are looking a ADHD Teaching Assistant to join one of our partner schools in South East London. You will be delivering the best support to students aged 5-11. Most of the students have mild SEN and are working at a high level. The key aspects of this role is cohering to the behaviour de-escalation methods and promoting positive reinforcement strategies. We want you work to make a positive impact to the schools reputation and success.

The ideal candidate:

  • Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
  • Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.

Requirement:

  • Must have strong SEN Experience (Preferably ASD and ADHD)
  • Candidates must have a valid DBS certificate on the update service (Not mandatory as we can provide one)
  • Some knowledge of strategies in working with young people with challenging behaviours
  • Safeguarding experience
