Conveyancing Legal Secretary

£28,000 - £30,000 Dependant on experience

We are in partnership with a growing law firm founding back in the 1800's! Based in the heart of Battersea, our clients have a diverse client base throughout London and the UK.

Due to expansion, we are recruiting for a legal secretary to assist the conveyancing department. Please note although the firm would love to be able to offer progression, due to the high demand within the residential property department, training contracts cannot be offered.

The ideal candidate will need to have at least 3 years experience within residential property from initial instruction through to post completion matters:

About the role:

* Opening and closing files

* Archiving

* ID and money laundering checks

* Ordering searches

* Submitting SDLT's

* Land registry submissions

* Filing, printing, scanning

* Audiotyping/dictations

* Liaising with clients, mortgage brokers and other solicitors

About you:

* 3 years' experience in residential property is essential for this role

* Strong audio typist

* Excellent client care skills

* Experience of using the Land Registry and SDLT portal
