Job Purpose: The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities within the company. This role ensures compliance with financial regulations, develops internal controls, manages financial reporting, and provides strategic guidance to senior management regarding financial planning and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

* Overseeing Accounting Operations - This includes managing and overseeing all accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledgers, cost accounting, revenue recognition, and inventory accounting.

* Financial Reporting - Preparing and presenting monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

* Budgeting and Forecasting - Coordinating the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, as well as overseeing and managing the preparation of regulatory reporting.

* Compliance - Ensuring compliance with corporate and tax laws and regulations.

* Internal Controls - Developing and documenting company financial policies and procedures, and ensuring the finance team operates within a robust control environment.

* Financial Analysis - Analysing financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, and communicating insights and recommendations to senior management.

* Auditing - Liaising with external auditors during the auditing process.

* Financial Strategy - Contributing to the financial strategy of the business and working with other leaders to formulate the company's financial strategy.

* Management Accounts - Preparing and presenting management accounts, which are financial reports produced for business owners on a monthly basis.

* Annual Budget & Reforecasting - Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to support strategic decision-making.

* Cash Flow - Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk management.

* Quality Control - Oversee and coordinate external and internal audits.

* Continuous Improvement - Optimise financial processes and implement efficiency improvements across financial operations.

* Leadership - Supervise and mentor the finance team, ensuring continuous development and performance optimization.

* Analysis - Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business growth and profitability.

* Work closely with senior management to monitor financial performance and align financial strategies with company objectives.

Key Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master's preferred).

* Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is required.

* Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management, preferably in a leadership role.

* Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and reporting standards.

* Proficiency in financial software (e.g. Sage) and web based financial management software.

* Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.

* Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
