Volante Group are very proud to have partnered exclusively with this Charity/Housing organisation which transforms the lives of children and young people by providing shelter, counselling and support and advice services. Our client is looking to recruit a Head of Finance.

Duties will include the following: -

• Develop and implement the organisation's financial strategy to ensure sustainability and support the charity's mission and goals.
• Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the Extended Leadership Team and trustees.
• Create long-term financial plans and forecasts that align with the charity’s strategic objectives.
• Identify opportunities for funding and revenue generation to support the charity’s activities.
• Oversee the preparation and management of annual budgets, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s priorities.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, adjusting, as necessary.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to the Extended Leadership Team, trustees, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, management accounts, and variance reports.
• Manage cash flow to ensure the organisation has sufficient liquidity to meet its obligations. As part of this objective to propose and manage treasury management including lending.
• Coordinate the annual statutory audit and lead with the external auditors.

The client is looking for the following pre-requisites: -

• Extensive experience in a senior fiscal management role, preferably within the Housing or Charity sector.
• Experience in managing finances for housing projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for property-related activities.
• Familiarity with the regulatory environment and compliance requirements specific to housing and property management.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a finance team.
• Experience in working with senior management teams and trustees.
• Experience is using digital solutions to innovate a Finance Team.
