They are seeking a meticulous Purchase Ledger Clerk to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets in the Accounting & Finance department of a well-established transport & distribution company located in Chorley.

Description
As a Purchase Ledger Clerk will be responsible for:
- Accurately processing invoices and completing payment runs.
- Reconciling supplier statements and handling queries.
- Handling petty cash and processing staff expenses.
- Assisting in the preparation of month-end reports.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date vendor files and file numbers.
- Preparing analyses of accounts, as required.
- Supporting the wider finance team as required.
- Complying with all company and governmental financial regulations.
Profile
A successful Purchase Ledger Clerk should have:
- A strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
- Knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
- The ability to work with large volumes of data.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
