We are looking for a primary teacher willing to support and work with Year 1 class. You are required to work for a school located in the Leeds area. This is a full time role (Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM).

We develop this through high expectations, excellent teaching and an ambitious, well thought-out curriculum.

Roles & responsibilities:

  • Building rapport with your children, teachers and support staff.
  • Presenting captivating and inspiring lessons to engage your children which include a variety of demonstrations, group work and individual projects to encourage learning through different methods.
  • Meet the daily objectives and targets set by the teacher and use effective communication with the teacher to report progress back.
  • Create and maintain a positive and collaborative teaching environment for all children to feel comfortable and confident for learning in.
  • Delivering a comprehensive curriculum which encourages children to explore and inquire further.
  • Effectively assessing and managing children progress and providing effective and constructive feedback to support individual learning needs.
  • Maintaining positive relationships with children, staff and parents or carers.
  • Working collaboratively with other colleagues in the school to coordinate lessons and curriculum.

Requirements:

  • Hold QTS.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS that is on the update service (or be willing to process one through Randstad).
  • Have previous teaching experience working in KS1 or KS2.
  • Have strong behaviour and classroom management skills, being able to manage and support children with different learning abilities.
  • Strong patience and time management skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, maintaining effective relationships with children, support staff, and parents or carers.
