To develop new products and support ongoing production. Look for new technology and leverage current technology to push the boundaries of new & current designs to higher temperatures (185°+). Circuit design skills are essential and layout skills are preferred. Developing tests and fault finding to component level is essential. Strong knowledge of IPC and board manufacturing needed.

To ensure all documentation and management systems are maintained to comply with the company's goals of ISO accreditation.

This is a small team so working well with others is essential.

Details:

* Improve current operations wherever possible

* Design Circuits for down-hole use.

* Design and Maintain production equipment.

* Design and Build various stages of assemblies

* Understand electrical wiring and mechanical drawings

* Able to use Pulsonix or equivalent

* Conduct system evaluations and make appropriate recommendations to modify designs or repair equipment as needed

* Identify and recommend system improvements to improve technical performance

* Design electronics for commercial applications

* Define and execute testing and maintenance procedures for electronics and components

* Inspect electronics to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and safety standards

* Be familiar with a range of hand tools

* Test to in house specifications

* Timely completion of projects

* Manage your own time effectively.

* Be involved in continuous improvements

* Maintain records of design, build and test

* Ensure high Health and safety standards are followed.

* Work within an EPA (Electrostatic Protected Area)

* Willing to travel.

* All other duties as required

Skills

* MUST have a strong understanding of Pulsonix and equivalent.

* Strong understanding of electronics in harsh environments preferable.

* A high level of technical expertise and skill, which you'll use to plan, design, set up, modify, optimise and monitor manufacturing processes.Knowledge of a range of engineering functions and procedures.

* The ability to work well under pressure and take on new challenges.

* Strong project management skills

* PC literate with Strong Ms EXCEL skills

* Good presentation skills

* Good at motivating others

* Strong attention to detail

* Strong analytical skills

* Ability to prioritise.

* Hold a driving licence.
