THE ROLE - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Class 1 HGV driver you'll be working on average 48 hours per week with varying day start times depending on the route.
* The work will consist of a mixture of inter depot trunking and customer collection and deliveries.
* You will be required to carry out some manual handling / loading of these products.
* You must provide great customer service as you will be customer facing when carrying out these deliveries.
* You will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the vehicle
* The role will require you to work independently and unsupervised managing your routing to ensure planned collections are achieved whilst showing effective communication with the transport team.
* You will be expected to conduct daily safety checks on the vehicle and the equipment whilst following health and safety guidelines.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
* Full UK driving licence (with C+E entitlement) with 2 years relevant experience.
* Valid driver CPC qualification
* Valid driver tachograph card
* No More than 6 points for MINOR offences (No DD, DR or IN endorsements)
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
