We are assisting a leading provider of bespoke Fit out Contractor with turnover of over £200 millions serving a wide range of industries, with a commitment to enhancing project efficiency, sustainability, and quality. Due to continued growth, the organisation is in need of an experienced and detail-oriented Pre-Construction Estimator. As a Pre-Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates by analysing project specifications, drawings, and relevant documentation.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

Lead all the Pre-construction estimating functions including tender management, post contract negotiation and management of supplier/ subcontractor chain.

*

Review project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to understand the scope of work, materials required and project constraints.

*

Develop detailed cost estimates for the project including materials, labour, equipment & subcontractor services.

*

Collaborate in the full tender process from inception to completion.

*

Preparation of bid prospects ready for presentation to project managers.

*

Prepare subcontract quotes and ensure compliance with the project specifications.

*

Participate in meetings both internal and client based and contribute to the best of your knowledge.

*

Accomplish the take-offs from tender drawings.

*

Identify potential risks & uncertainties in project estimates, developing solutions to eliminate risks.

*

Keep updated on market conditions, trends & pricing for materials & labour.

*

Preparing quotations, undertaking take offs, building up rates, requesting supplier and subcontractor quotations.

*

Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveyor or relevant discipline.

*

2+ years' post qualification experience in Estimator/Pre-construction Manager role within construction with main contractor.

*

Significant experience preferably on internal fit out projects.

*

Dedicated team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and external partners.

*

Proven knowledge in estimating principles, practices, and technologies.

*

Excellent negotiation, communication, leadership & interpersonal skills.

*

Knowledgeable in estimating software & tools.
