Job Title: Fibre Installation Engineer
Location: Belfast & Surrounding Areas
Contract Length: Rolling, up to 2 months
Start Date: Monday, 10th March

Job Description:

We are seeking skilled Fibre Installation Engineers to join our client's team in Belfast. This role involves installing fibre optic cabling from poles into residential properties, ensuring high-quality connections and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

* Installing fibre optic cabling and equipment into homes from telegraph poles.

* Performing fibre splicing and testing to guarantee optimal performance.

* Troubleshooting and resolving on-site technical issues.

* Maintaining high work standards to meet both technical and customer service expectations.

* Ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards.

* Accurately recording completed work and reporting any issues promptly.

Requirements:

Mandatory Certifications:

* SA001 & SA002 Qualified

* NRSWA Operative

* Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable Certifications:

* IPAF

* S7/S8 Qualification

Experience & Skills:

* Essential: Minimum 1 year of experience working on a fibre network.

* Essential: Experience in fibre splicing and pole climbing.

* Ability to work independently and efficiently.

* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Required Equipment (Engineer Must Provide):

* Van

* SDS Drill & General Tools

* Ladders

* PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

* Fibre Splicer

* Red Light Source & Power Meter

Additional Information:

* Engineers must be based in Belfast or willing to travel/stay over if required (at own expense).
