This newly created Director, Employee Relations will oversee a team of six in this global financial organisation. This strategic role will support the business wide transformation programme by reviewing policies, resolving conflicts, and ensuring a positive working environment.

Our client is a global Financial Services organisation with offices in over 30 countries. They are located in the City of London and they pride themselves on their inclusive business approach internally and externally. They focus on long term relationship management.

Description


· Lead and manage the employee relations team


· Responsible for designing a strategic employee relations and mediation framework that is aligned with the Bank's values and culture.


· Manage complex employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and disciplinary procedures.


· Supports, advises and facilitates organisational change from a people impact perspective.


· Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure a harmonious work environment.


· Guide the HR team in the investigation and resolution of formal and informal employee complaints.


· Represents the Bank in external mediation processes


· Ensures the provision of generalist people solutions and advisory service to line managers and staff on a case management basis, on a wide range of people-related issues, including line manager coaching to support line manager self-service


· Monitor and report on employee relations trends within the Financial Services industry.


· Oversee training and development initiatives to promote positive employee relations.


· Ensure company compliance with employment laws and regulations.

Profile

Proven experience managing an ER team


· Experience creating or managing a mediation function is essential across an international remit


· Strong international law knowledge not only UK law


· Change management & transformation experience


· Strong leadership and team management skills.


· Experience at a senior level as an HR generalist in an international environment and/or an employment law background would be advantageous.


· Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.


· Accredited Mediator and qualifications in Negotiating skills (or equivalent experience) are preferable


· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
