Job Title: Design Engineer

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 plus package

Role Overview:
As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the detailed design and checking of temporary works, providing crucial technical support to operational activities. Your role includes developing concept designs, supporting digital engineering, mitigating construction risks through design, managing technical reviews, and collaborating with project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and manage concept designs and their detailed development.

* Support digital engineering team in producing models and drawings.

* Mitigate and communicate construction risks.

* Assist preconstruction team with tender designs.

* Manage staged technical reviews for design assurance.

* Collaborate with broader project teams to understand timeframes, risks, and constraints.

* Drive sustainable and innovative solutions to clients' problems.

* Champion technical excellence, sustainability, innovation, and continuous learning.

About You:

* Proven experience in a similar role as a Design Engineer within a consultancy or contractor's design team.

* Proficient in design programming/IRS.

* Practical understanding of operational limitations of structures.

* Knowledge of current CDM regulations and design codes.

* Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with individuals at all levels.

* Structured and outcome-focused, capable of driving professionalism in others
