Job Title: M&E Manager

Role Overview As the M&E Manager, you'll take charge of the operation and maintenance of all mechanical and electrical systems on-site, including HVAC, power distribution, emergency systems, and critical infrastructure. You will ensure that all systems run efficiently to support continuous operations, comply with relevant regulations, and adhere to industry standards. This role requires a strong background in M&E management within critical environments, such as data centres or healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities - Operational Oversight: Manage the day-to-day operation and maintenance of all M&E systems, ensuring they function reliably and efficiently to meet site requirements.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and develop a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of high performance and safety.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations, including compliance with UK-specific legislation and site-specific policies.
- Risk and Incident Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks, implementing preventive measures and responding effectively to incidents to minimise disruption.
- Project Management: Lead M&E-related projects, including system upgrades, installations, and repairs, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Client and Stakeholder Liaison: Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams to continuously improve operational standards and service delivery.
Skills and Qualifications - Experience: Proven track record in M&E management within a critical environment, ideally with experience in data centres, hospitals, or other high-dependency sites. HV or LV expereince is highly desirable.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, power distribution, BMS (Building Management Systems), and UPS systems.
- Qualifications: Relevant qualifications such as HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical engineering, with additional certifications (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH) highly advantageous.
- Leadership Abilities: Experienced in managing and developing a technical team, with strong organisational and decision-making skills.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrates a proactive approach to troubleshooting and resolving issues, especially under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and stakeholders.
