Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the role:

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our growing company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all commercial and contractual aspects of Civil Engineering projects, including cost planning, budgeting, procurement, and contract administration.

What you will do:

* Preparing bills of quantities and schedules of works for pricing.

* Preparing and sending out of Sub-contract enquires.

* Subcontract comparison and preparation of subcontract agreements.

* Attending, contributing to and taking minutes of meetings as required.

* Preparing Valuations with Client's, agreeing amounts for payment and ensuring invoices are prepared and issued.

* Re-measuring work using site measurement and measurement from drawings.

* Re-measurement of subcontract applications and processing subcontract payments.

* Informing Sub-Contractors of Contract variations.

* Valuing variations.

* Assisting with reporting on Contract Performance via monthly cost/value reconciliations and

* Agreeing Client and Sub-Contract Final Accounts.

* Monitoring site costs on a weekly basis providing feedback to construction team as required.

* To ensure work is carried out in accordance with the Company's Health and Safety Policy.

* To ensure work is carried out in accordance with the Company's Quality Manual.

* At all times to represent the company in the best possible way, be courteous and professional working to the highest ethical standards.

* Managing Quantity Surveyors and Junior Quantity Surveyors

What you will have:

* Relevant qualifications within Quantity Surveying

* Previous relevant experience working for a recognised civil engineering main contractor

* Water and utilities experience preferred but not essential

* Experience of managing NEC Contracts

* Ability to work under pressure

* Proficient

* Methodical approach

* Numerate

* Ability to work on own initiative

* Written and oral communication skills

* Computer literacy
