The client are a global events business that specialise in the running, hospitality and catering services at corporate events. The business has a global reach and is eager to add a new Junior Finance Assistant to the team. The successful candidate will have approximately 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable and they will be in the office (based in South West London) on a hybrid basis.

The business are a global corporate events provider that specialise in both online and in-person conferences. They are an industry leader and run a number of huge corporate events for their clients. The head office is based in London Victoria (2 days per week) and the role will have excellent progression possibilities into the Assistant Management Accountant and Management Accountant roles. The company culture is great and the role is brilliant for a junior candidate looking to progress and develop in the role.
Description
The successful Finance Assistant will:
- Allocating cash receipts daily
- Reporting of daily cash balances
- Bank account reconciliation for company bank accounts
- Foreign currency bank account revaluations at month end
- Accounts payable support
- Assistance with the accounts payable function across 2/3 group companies
- Provide holiday cover for the whole of the AP function.
- Accounts receivable support
- Completing vendor forms / information requests
- AR function reporting holiday cover
- Weekly CRM to accounting system uploads and reconciliations
- Other month end duties as required
- Assist with Year End Audit
- Assist with Ad hoc projects
Profile
The successful Finance Assistant will:
- Have 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role
- Prior working knowledge of the system SUN (desirable, not essential)
- High attention to detail
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong Excel skills
