Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled class 1 driver for one of our clients based in Crawley. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and professionalism, as well as the ability to manage routes effectively.

Location: Crawley

Salary: £36,000 + overtime

Hours: 03:00am start time - 45 hours a week + Overtime

Duties

* Driving and operating a class 1 driver to transport airport catering products

* Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.

* Plan and manage delivery routes efficiently, taking into account traffic conditions and delivery schedules.

* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transport.

* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status and any potential delays.

* Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while on the road.

Experience

* Class 1 experience required (At least 1 year)

* CPC & Tacho up to date

* A valid commercial driving licence is essential, along with a clean driving record.

* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively are required.

* Excellent communication skills are necessary for interacting with clients and team members.
