Key Responsibilities of the Vetting Officer Role:

Support the Recruitment team in obtaining security clearances and checks for all new employees
Manage confidential and complex vetting enquiries, serving as the point of contact for vetting-related issues and problems
Liaise with UKSV and other external agencies to facilitate the vetting process
Utilise electronic vetting databases and IT platforms to obtain and update security clearances
Provide support to the Security Services department and lead on departmental projects

Qualifications and Skills Required:

Experience with HMG BPSS and UKSV vetting processes
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure
A meticulous and professional approach, with a keen eye for detail
Proficiency in using electronic vetting databases and IT platforms
A positive and proactive attitude, with a strong commitment to success
