The candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality copy for our new community investment platform. Project background

The Business Community Partnerships (BCP) programme works with responsible businesses in Westminster who have either a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) or Social Value agenda. The BCP encourages them to come together, and work in partnership, to support our local community, either through financial or in-kind donations. A key part of the BCP programme and services on offer to businesses will be The Community Investment Platform. Through this online platform, businesses will see what community projects are happening, what the local needs of the community are, and will be able to select the ways in which they support with marketing and/or stakeholder engagement or volunteering their time.

The platform/portal will act as a 'front-door' to the BCP programme, attracting potential investors and generating much needed investment to support the running of community-led services and projects.

As part of the project, the team are looking to support 20 small organisations, who lack the resource to build relationships with businesses themselves and to support them in the production of a succinct but effective online pitch which will be added to the digital platform and shared via relevant business-focused channels.

Application Process:

Interested candidates should submit their CV and a portfolio of relevant work by 18th Sept 2024. Please highlight your experience in contract copywriting, particularly in public sector projects or similar environments.

This brief outlines the expectations and requirements for the role, ensuring the candidate understands the high standards expected and the importance of aligning with Westminster City Council's guidelines and accessibility standards.

Required Experience:

* Contract Copywriting: Proven experience in contract copywriting, with a strong ability to adhere to style guides and brand guidelines.* Drupal Content Editing: Demonstrated experience using Drupal as a content management system.* Accessibility Standards: Knowledge and experience in writing content that complies with WCAG accessibility guidelines.* Attention to Detail: Strong editorial skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

Standards & Expectations:

* Excellence in Execution: Deliver high-quality, error-free copy that meets the council's standards and project requirements.* Proactive Communication: Maintain open lines of communication, providing regular updates and addressing any issues promptly.* Adherence to Deadlines: Ensure all tasks are completed within the agreed-upon timeframes and checkpoints.
