About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team within an industrial FMCG environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and delivering electrical engineering projects, focusing on cable laying, machine de-commissioning, and re-commissioning, while ensuring strong stakeholder communication and adherence to safety and regulatory standards. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring project goals are achieved on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead electrical engineering projects from concept through to delivery, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
Coordinate and oversee the installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of electrical systems and machinery in line with project requirements.
Manage cable laying and other electrical installations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and budget tracking, ensuring milestones are met.
Collaborate with stakeholders including internal teams, external contractors, and suppliers to ensure alignment and smooth project execution.
Communicate technical requirements clearly to non-technical stakeholders and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during machine de-commissioning and re-commissioning processes.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including drawings, reports, and other technical documents.
Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to address challenges and minimise project delays.Key Requirements:

Qualification: UK Level 3 Electrical Qualification (e.g., City & Guilds 2365, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).
Proven experience as an Electrical Project Engineer within an industrial FMCG setting.
Strong exposure to cable laying, machine decommissioning and re-commissioning, and electrical system installations.
Solid experience in managing and delivering electrical engineering projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong knowledge of relevant industry standards, health and safety regulations, and electrical codes.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating leadership in managing project teams and contractors.
Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel to different sites if required.Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

Familiarity with PLC programming and SCADA systems.
Experience with project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
Experience in managing multi-disciplinary projects involving both electrical and mechanical systems
